About
Colombian cocoa was successfully grown and exported from colonial times until the 1920s and was famous for producing Criollo varieties. The export market was reborn in 1980, but at that time the Criollos were replaced by a mix of Trinitario hybrids. Hacienda Betulia, founded seven years ago, selected its own local Criollo trees (Betulia) to propagate these genetics of rare and complex flavours.

The name Mixtura refers to a mix of Criollo clones and Trinitario hybrids, all growing on the farm.
